Columbia Pictures filming in Albany, NY again!!!

The local production of the film, takes place Wednesday, September 23rd through Sunday, October 4th, 2009. After a three month hiatus, Columbia Pictures is back in New York’s Capital Region shooting a feature film “The Other Guys," (Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, The Rock, and more). The local production of the film will bring with it a positive economic impact, as well as recognition to our Capital City!

Projected economic impact for our region, for the few days Columbia is in town, is estimated to be over $1,400,000. Columbia Pictures will bring in over 300 cast and crew members for the filming totaling over 2,000 sleeping room nights. Additional money will be spent on food, amenities, and entertainment while the production company is here. Drawing on Albany’s local talent an open casting call was held Saturday, September 12, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
